Tammy Jacobowitz Shabbaton!

We are excited to welcome Tammy Jacobowitz to Rosh Pina as a scholar-in-residence March 19-20. 

Tammy is an advanced doctoral student in Midrash at the University of Pennsylvania, a Wexner graduate fellow, and graduate of the Drisha Scholars Circle in New York. She is currently teaching Tanakh in the Drisha Bet Midrash Program and is on the Rabbinics faculty for Me'ah NYC.

Tammy will be speaking at Friday night services, a dinner after services, and at Seuda Shlishit.  Topics will include:

Friday dinner and learn:  The Haggadah as a Celebration of Midrash, and

Mincha and Seuda Shlishit: Why study Vayikra?: An age-old problem.

All services and activities will be at the Hamilton House basement, 1255 New Hampshire Ave NW.  Friday night services will begin at 7 p.m., with dinner following services.  Mincha and Seuda Shlishit will be held at 6:15 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
 
The cost for dinner is $18 per person, and the deadline for RSVPs is 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 18.  Seuda Shlishit is free, but please RSVP to JacobowitzShabbaton@roshpinadc.org if you plan on attending.  To pay and sign up for dinner, click below:
